Everything is beautiful, 5 July 2024!
Mechanic Manyeruke, a Zimbabwean well known (at least in Zimbabwe and importantly on the gospel industry), sand a song “ Nyika ino Yakanaka[1]” ( This country or this world is beautiful”,
Today I saw a lot of painful beauty. As I was travelling from Harare to Budapest, on a quest for knowledge I had a lot of things in my mind.
- That I didn’t say farewell properly to my children, I had promised to pass by their school and hug them goodbye, however I didn’t….hoops.
- Sasha, I love you dude.
- Kundi, what could I do without you around my kids….
The desert looked so damn wide open, so lost, at the same time so beautiful, there was no one around, no paper especially, no trees(was bit depressing for me), but who cares it’s a desert after all. The desert dunes were so so beautiful, I believe it was so quite and calm, in the end I loved it, I fell in love,
As I fell in love, we had to land in Dubai 9 ohh wow, how the pilot pronounced Duuubhai, was also beautiful and we were met with highways, round about, tall concrete buildings, so tall you wonder from where they got the stones to build those tall buildings in such sands… It got me thinking, how a lot of people flock Dubai to do shopping, ,,, why not Harare which is the sunshine city with all the trees and all the landscape, I guess it is because this world is beautiful, especially in the areas you do not see often.
Well, I must say Dubai in its dryness and nothingness, has a lot , including such a huge airport with massive fleet and crews from “we were told, 11 languages they could assist us, wow”.
Imagine flying over very small clouds, not as romantic as one may think, but being able to peep through the clouds, witness, trees, curved rivers some in extraordinary shapes, roads, so strange you wonder why they take that shape. I was tempted to stay airborne, however it was not to be. Being over land helps see another perspective of beauty , I felt I wanted to have a feel, to touch and kiss it, ,,,
Inside the aeroplane itself was a lot of beauty – well I must admit on the leg Dubai to Budapest I struggled to see those of my own skin texture, however I SAT ONCE AGAIN NEXT TO A VERY BEAUTIFUL lady, so beautiful that her kindness was more beautiful. She knew one of the crew members, and whilst we were in the common back seats of the plane, the not so common front seats benefits of the plane reached us – photos, sweets in sophisticated containers (it’s all about the container I realised) nuts, everything we needed came to her and she extended to me, I felt special - Nyika ino Yakanaka.
Ladies and gentlemen, “ we are on time and expect our touch down at exactly 2pm local Budapest time, and wish you a very GOOD AFTERNOON, bye bye.
It will be a very good next ten days for me as in addition to the “ summer school – global minority rights, I will be with a special Slovenian man, whom I EXPECT TO BEAUTIFULLY land at 8pm LOCAL time.
One love, one beauty!
